QSR GMs have QSR Families

GMs in all segments of the Restaurant Industry sacrifice a lot of their personal lives for their people.

They close when their Night Manager's child falls ill. They work Sundays so their Shift Leader, who has dual-custody can spend time with his son. They stay late, after already putting in 12 hours, because they WILL NOT leave their team short-handed during a busy late-night rush.

Trust me, I could go on-and-on about all of the sacrifices that happen inside of a restaurant.

GMs and their teams are not doing this for fellow "employees." They are doing this for people they consider to be their "RESTAURANT FAMILY."

Most importantly, you will see EVERYONE taking turns SERVING GUESTS, so that EACH member of the team will have a chance to enjoy time with their RESTAURANT FAMILY.

2. THEY COME TO THE RESCUE OF THEIR BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN NEED: They let their fellow employees who are suddenly homeless crash on their couches. They drive across town to give each other rides to work. I have even witnessed them group-fund a team member short on rent! I have always been AMAZED at the levels of support restaurant teams give each other.

3. THEY SELFLESSLY COVER EACH OTHERS SHIFTS: They work splits, doubles, and often sacrifice their day off for each other.

4. LASTLY, NOTHING WILL BRING A GROUP OF PEOPLE CLOSER THAN TEAMING-UP TO DO THEIR BEST, RUNNING 5-SHORT DURING A FRIDAY DINNER. 👊 👊 👊

Who LEADS AND CREATES this MAGICAL FAMILY ENVIRONMENT? The General Manager of course!

What inspires me the most about these special people is they are just as amazing Fathers and Mothers at home. I know--my wife is a QSR GM and Mother of five.
